Improving quality of education which is core to the HRD Project was assessed at two levels-the resource gaps in facilities and personnel, and the understanding level of students, which was linked to the teaching methods and tools. Most schools which lacked educational aids were provided white boards, furniture, library, laboratory, and other facilities.
Schools buildings and classrooms which were in dilapidated state were repaired. The repair work includes roofs, painting, plastering, flooring and windows, etc.
