Holistic Rural Development Project (HRDP) aims at improving rural people's livelihoods in an equitable and sustainable manner. The major focus of the initiative is to mitigate the poverty conditions which are now becoming acute against the backdrop of decreasing farm productivity and vulnerability to economic shocks. The HRD project seeks to support the village communities by meeting their credit needs to improve livelihoods means. This is being done through revolving funds for women, farmers and youth groups. This initiative is strengthening other components of the project such as promotion of integrated farming, alternative cropping, horticulture and usage of advanced techniques. Watershed development and improvement of community and school infrastructure also got major boost under the project.
