About Us

Holistic Rural Development Project was initiated in the year 2016-17 in Ludhiana after successful implementation of the School Sanitation Project (SSP) and WASH programme in Punjab. The project aims to sustainably improve education, health, sanitation and livelihood conditions of communities in 16 Villages from eight blocks in District Ludhiana, Punjab. The objectives of the project are:


  • Improve income of rural households from agriculture, livestock, skill-based occupations and service sector (micro enterprises).
  • Improve education standards in government schools.
  • Improve health and living standards of people through increasing drinking water availability and environmental sanitation.
  • Development of youth and adolescent girls by providing life skills education, promoting healthy habits and sportsmanship.
