Chotay Taray Foundation

ChotayTaray Foundation (CTF) was established in the year 2006 under the umbrella of Paul Foundation. CTF is a not-for-profit organization working for rehabilitation of children with special needs. There are 60 children who are receiving special care which will gradually enable them to become less dependent for their activities of daily living. The intent is to enable them to join a mainstream school and lead a normal life. While some children are able to adapt to normal facilities, those who require continued support are rehabilitated in the Centre run by the Foundation. The Foundation encourages participation of family members and regular school teachers as observers and learners of various techniques involved in rehabilitation. Cultural events and picnics are also organized for the children.

Tyndale Biscoe

C.M.S Tyndale Biscoe Memorial High School is an "all boys’ school" nestled in the beautiful valley of Kashmir, in the heart of the summer capital Srinagar. The school was founded in 1880 and is the oldest school in Srinagar. The school was originally started by Christian missionaries to Kashmir and to this day has affiliations with the Christian Mission Society.

The Tyndale-Biscoe School offer a comprehensive learning opportunity and is one of the leading schools in Srinagar. Its vision is all round strengthening of the social and moral fibre of the people of Kashmir, through Education and Healthcare among children, drawing from the Biblical ethos of love and compassion for one’s environment.

The school was severely affected in the recent floods. Its buildings were damaged. A lot of renovation and restoration work was done by the school until now. They have approached HDFC for the renovation of their library hall, digital room. Even in this case, the entire flooring and painting of the wall will be done by the school. Following our meeting, the School has promised immediate repair work of the floor.
