Why SACH?

Since its establishment in 1988 by a group of medical experts, the Society for Action in Community Health (SACH) has excelled in many areas of public health and essential healthcare services. Over the course of the years, SACH has evolved into one of the founding organizations to deliver community-based healthcare services to the rural poor at their doorsteps by means of well-equipped mobile healthcare vans, educating the impoverished in both cities and villages on non-communicable diseases and in specific self-management of diabetes, training of doctors, nutritionists and other paraprofessionals.

Our Core Competencies:

  • Policy Advocacy to enhance the access of the poor to public health services in India- addressing urgency to the multifaceted aspects associated with destitution and impoverishment.
  • SACH has adopted a holistic approach to reducing poverty and expanded its core areas of work to other sectors like, rural development, transforming education, skill development and promotion of individual and group enterprises, climate change action, etc.

  • SACH achieved successful operations in several regions, and has now globally renowned specialists who have joined the Board of SACH and are now leading and directing teams across all thematic domains- won many accolades, including the Social Entity award from SABERA.
